MINNEAPOLIS -- A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a deal to land free agent receiver Greg Jennings from their rivals in Green Bay.

Jennings gives Minnesota the No. 1 receiver third-year quarterback Christian Ponder has desperately needed. The person requested anonymity because the deal had not been officially announced.

Jennings caught 36 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns in eight games last season. He bolsters a thin receiving group that grew thinner when the Vikings traded star Percy Harvin to Seattle earlier this offseason.

He becomes the latest Packer to head across the border to Minnesota. Darren Sharper, Brett Favre and Ryan Longwell are other high-profile Packers to make the move.

Jets sign former Steelers OL Colon

NEW YORK -- A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the New York Jets have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Willie Colon.

Colon, a fourth-round draft pick by the Steelers in 2006, will add depth to the Jets' offensive line and could potentially fill one of the guard spots with Brandon Moore and Matt Slauson free agents.

The deal is for one year, $1.2 million, according to the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the signing.

Colon, a Bronx native who played at Hofstra, was an offensive tackle from 2006-11 but moved to guard last season. Colon missed all but one game in the 2010-11 seasons due to injury, and was sidelined for five games last season.

Eagles get WR Benn from Buccaneers

PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles have acquired wide receiver Arrelious Benn and a seventh-round pick from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Philadelphia's sixth-round choice this year and a conditional draft pick in 2014.

Benn, a second-round selection (39th overall) by the Buccaneers in 2010, has 59 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons. He led the Buccaneers with 13 kickoff returns for 306 yards in only eight games last year before a knee injury ended his season. In 2011, Benn had career highs in catches (30), yards receiving (441) and touchdowns (3).

Benn is the ninth player acquired by the Eagles since the start of free agency. The team signed eight free agents in the first three days.
