Kent State and Ohio University will represent the Mid-American Conference in men's basketball postseason play along with regular-season and tournament champion Akron (see related story on this page).

The Golden Flashes (20-13) will host Fairfield (19-15) in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament on Tuesday. Tickets go on sale this morning at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $20 for courtside, $10 for lower level and $5 for upper level general admission. KSU students are admitted free.

To purchase tickets, call the ticket office at 330-672-2244.

The Bobcats (24-9), who advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 a year ago but lost to the Zips in this year's MAC Tournament Championship Game, received a bid to the National Invitation Tournament. They were seeded sixth and will visit third-seeded Denver (21-9) in a first-round matchup on Tuesday at 9:15.

Western Michigan is also eligible for postseason play, but had not officially accepted a bid at press time Sunday night.
