Record-Courier staff report

Fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers hoping to get their first look at Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in last month's NBA Draft, will have to wait.

Bennett is not part of the Cavs' summer league team as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery.

Those wanting to see the organization's other first-round pick, Sergey Karasev, who was the first round's 19th selection, will also have to wait. He is playing with his club team in Russia.

Cleveland's summer league team will, though, feature second-round pick Carrick Felix, along with the team's pair of first-rounders from 2012 in guard Dion Waiters and forward Tyler Zeller.

The summer league will open tonight in Las Vegas for the Cavaliers, when they play against the L.A. Lakers at 8 p.m. EST.

The NBA's summer league will take on an tournament format this year, with the Cavs playing in three preliminary-round games, including tonight's matchup, before giving way to the tourney.
