Kent State sophomore nose tackle Nate Terhune suffered a broken leg during the first quarter of Saturday night’s game at LSU.
Terhune had surgery Sunday morning, and is likely out for the rest of the season, according to Golden Flashes head coach Paul Haynes.
“Losing Terhune was huge,” said Haynes. “He was playing pretty well before he got hurt.”
Terhune has three tackles for a loss and one sack this season.
Sophomore Chris Fairchild is expected to step in at the starting nose guard slot.
