Kent Roosevelt did what they have done each year of the PTC Tournament since it has been in existence: Win the Metro Division regular-season championship.

This year, the Rough Riders marched through the Metro Division without even a blip as they finished with a 12-0 record -- defeating Ravenna in the final division match of the season on Monday.

It was Nick Mandalari rising to the top of the roster for the Rough Riders, firing a 1-over-par 36. A.J. Stronz and Mike Kenney posted 37 and 38, respectively, and Ryan Crossen shot a 40 to give Kent Roosevelt a score of 151 to the 172 total of the Ravens.

Ravenna's Morgan McIntyre was the best for the Ravens, carding a 39, with Nick Polichena adding a 43, but it wasn't enough to top the Rough

Riders on their home course, Oak Knolls Golf Club in Kent.

Kent Roosevelt has proved to be the best team in the conference with a depth that bypasses the other teams within the division.

Now the Rough Riders, with first-year head coach Eric Hughes, will try to duplicate the efforts of past Kent Roosevelt teams and bring home the conference title again.

Ravenna dropped to a 7-4 record with one match remaining against Coventry. The Ravens, Norton and Field are in a three-way tie for second place behind Kent Roosevelt.
