Coventry High School suspended 11 wrestlers on Wednesday amidst an investigation of an alleged hazing incident that occurred on Feb. 6.

Of the 11 wrestlers suspended, two of which could potentially be expelled.

Additionally, Comets head coach Keith Shinn has been suspended indefinitely. Pending the outcome of the school’s investigation, Shinn’s job could be reinstated.

According to reports, Coventry Superintedent Rusty Chaboudy was cited as saying that the supposed hazing was not done in the presence of Shinn.

As of Wednesday, no charges had been filed.

Phone calls to Chaboudy, athletic director Neil Kopp and Shinn were not immediately returned.
