Trio of PTC girls basketball standouts named All-Ohio in Division II

Three Portage Trail Conference girls basketball players were recognized for their All-Ohio performances in Division II during the 2013-14 season.

Announced on Monday, Norton's Brooke Robinson, Field's Camille Adelman and Woodridge's Abbe Esterak landed on the distinguished team.

Robinson led the trio by being named Third Team All-Ohio.

The Panthers' versatile and talented 5-foot-6 senior point guard averaged 15.2 points per game this season. She also averaged 4.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 5.5 steals per game for Norton, while also hitting 77 percent from the free-throw line and 40 percent from 3-point range.

Adelman, a junior forward for the Falcons, was named to the Special Mention list in Division II after averaging 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game this season. She made 51 percent of her field goals and 73 percent of her free throws.

Esterak is a sophomore guard for the Bulldogs and led the team with her 16.7 points per game average. She also made a team-high 32 3-pointers and averaged 3.0 assists per game.
