Former Kent State University standout Julian Edelman decided to re-sign with the New England Patriots on Saturday.
Edelman has played for the Patriots for five seasons after they drafted him in the seventh round of the 2009 draft. It is the second straight year that he has chosen to re-sign New England.
He is coming off a career year, where he had 105 catches for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. Terms of the deal were not released. His one-year deal signed with New England last year was worth just over $1 million if he reached all of his incentives, which he did.
