Player with local ties Campana will take part in MLB 2014 season opener in Australia

SYDNEY -- Tony Campana, an outfielder for the Arizona Diamondacks who is the grandson of legendary Kent Roosevelt football coach and athletic director Tom Campana, is currently in Australia preparing to take part in Major League Baseball's 2014 season-opening game on Saturday at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Diamondbacks will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first-ever MLB game played in Australia. After playing two games they will return to their spring training home in Phoenix, some 7,800 miles from Sydney.
