Rutgers ends Bowling Green's postseason run in WNIT

The Bowling Green women's basketball season ended two games short of the NIT championship.

The host Falcons were handed a 55-50 loss by Rutgers on Monday.

Bowling Green (30-5) established a 25-21 lead over Rutgers (26-9), but were outscored 34-25 in the second half of the loss.

Three Falcons players reached double-digits in scoring, with Alexis Rogers leading the way with 16 points. She also had eight rebounds.

Erica Donovan added 12 points and Jillian Halfhill had 10 for Bowling Green. Jill Stein pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

For the Scarlet Knights, the team was led in scoring by Kahleah Copper's 14 points, with Tyler Scaife adding 13 points and Briyona Canty had 11.
