The Akron RubberDucks edged out the host Bowie Baysox on Friday for a 7-6 victory.
The Ducks were able to capture the win by posting crooked numbers in the second inning (2 runs), fourth inning (2) and seventh inning (3).
The combination was able to top a big five-run third inning by Bowie, which added its sixth run in the sixth inning before Akron rallied for its three runs in the seventh to capture the one-run advantage.
Akron's offense was led by shortstop phenom Francisco Lindor, who went 3-for-4 and scored a run.
On the mound for Akron, Kyle Davis got the start and went six innings to improve his record to 1-1. He gave up four hits, six runs (5 earned) and struck out two. He gave up two home runs, though.
In relief, Enosil Tejeda pitched two innings of scoreless baseball, then Shawn Armstrong got his first save of the year in the ninth.
