Joe Wendle's double to right field sparked a rally for the Akron RubberDucks, as they scored a pair of seventh-inning runs to defeat Altoona 2-1 on Saturday at Canal Park.

The rally included a Bryson Myles single, followed by a pair of RBI singles from Jordan Smith and Alex Lavisky.

Reliever Jordan Cooper (1-0) picked up the win after entering the game in the top of the sixth and retiring all six batters he faced over two innings of work, striking out three.
