Kent State wide receiver and running back Dri Archer was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 97th overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
Archer turned heads across the nation with a record-setting junior season for the Golden Flashes, but his senior season was start-and-go as he worked his way through injuries.
His speed at the NFL Combine brought he back to the forefront after he scorched to a time of 4.26 in the 40-yard dash.
Archer, a 5-foot-8, 175-pounder is projected as a kick-return specialist or slot wide receiver in the NFL.
In his career at Kent STate, he ranks second all-time with his 40 touchdowns and is third among all-purpose yards with 4,980.
