ATHENS -- The Kent State women's track and field team won their fourth straight Mid-American Conference championship on Saturday in Athens at Ohio University.
Additionally, Flashes head coach Bill Lawson was named the league's Outdoor Women's Coach of the Year and senior Dior Delophont was named the co-Most Valuable Performer.
Delophont placed first in the high jump (5-11 .5) and triple jump (42-11) on Saturday and was third in the long jump on Friday, seventh in the javelin on Thursday.
In the men's event, Kent State placed third overall, finishing behind Eastern Michigan and Akron.
