Pendrith opens play at NCAA Championships

Kent State senior men's golf standout Taylor Pendrith completed a round and a half on Saturday at the NCAA Championships hosted by Prairie Dunes Country Club in Kansas.

Pendrith never got on the course on Friday because of poor weather conditions.

He shot a 1-over-par 71 in the first round, then worked up to hole No. 14 of the second round before play was suspended by darkness. Through those 14 holes, Pendrith is at 2-over. He will resume play today in Kansas.

Round one featured two birdies and three bogeys for Pendrith. His partial second round included three birdies, three bogeys and one double-bogey on the par-3 No. 4 hole. His current 3-over score has him in a tie for 86th place overall.
