RubberDucks win on power of Tribe prospect Tyler Naquin

The Akron RubberDucks exploded for a 10-2 victory over the Binghamton B-Mets on Monday at Canal Park in Akron.

The Ducks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning and extended it to 3-0 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

A two-run seventh inning and five-run eighth inning blew the game open for the easy win for Akron.

Tyler Naquin, the Tribe's first-round draft pick in 2012, belted his fourth home run of the season. It was a two-run shot to plate both of the Ducks' runs in the fifth. The centerfielder finished the game 3-of-5 at the plate with two runs scored, lifting his season average to .322.

Catcher Tony Wolters also hit a home run for the Ducks, lifted a two-run shot over the fence in the eighth inning.

Other multi-hit games were turned in by shortstop Francisco Lindor and left fielder Ollie Linton.

On the mound for Akron, Duke von Schamann went seven strong innings and improved his record to 3-0. He gave up four hits, struck out three, walked three and gave up both of the B-Mets' runs (earned). The ERA for von Schamann now sits at 3.10 this season.

Bryan Price earned the save, pitching two innings and striking out two.
