Akron RubberDucks drop 3-2 decision to Harrisburg Senators

After taking and holding onto an early 1-0 lead in the first three innings of Saturday night's game against the Harrisburg Senators at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, the Akron RubberDucks fell 3-2.

Erik Gonzalez plated Ollie Linton to score Akron's first run in the top of the first on a double to center field. The RubberDucks maintained the 1-0 advantage until the fourth inning when they tacked on one more.

With two outs and no one on base Bryson Myles ripped a home run to left field, putting Akron head of Harrisburg 2-0. While the RubberDucks controlled the game to that point the Senators took over, tying the game in the bottom of the fourth and scoring the winning run the following inning.

With one out Matt Skole and Kevin Keyes got things started for the Senators on consecutive walks. Jason Martinson advanced both runners with a single to left field. Quincy Latimore brought both Skole and Keyes home on a line drive double to left field, tying the score.

In the bottom of the fifth Harrisburg took a 3-2 lead and never looked back. With two outs, Cutter Dykstra singled on a ground ball to third baseman Justin Toole. Dykstra advanced to second on a wild pitch scored on Skole's line drive two at-bats later.

The Senators out-hit the RubberDucks 6-5 on their way to a 3-2 victory. Niether team recorded any errors defensively.
