AKRON -- Erik Gonzalez hit a two-out RBI double in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Akron RubberDucks to a 3-2 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats on Tuesday night at Canal Park.

New Britain (55-59) broke out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but the RubberDucks (62-55) drew even in the third on Jordan Smith's two-run double to make it 2-2.

The Ducks then took the lead the next inning. Justin Toole doubled with one out and, following the second out of the inning, Gonzalez drove a double to right field to bring home Toole with the eventual game-winning run.

Former Kent State star Anthony Gallas went 2-for-3 at the plate for Akron to raise his batting average to .318. Gallas scored a run and walked once on the night.

Rehabbing Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Bourn went 0-for-3 with a strikeout batting leadoff for the Ducks.

Akron starter Duke von Schamann (6-6) pitched seven innings to get the win on the mound, allowing two runs (both earned) on seven hits, no walks and four strikeouts.
