Ken Babby, owner of the Akron RubberDucks minor league baseball team and a favorite speaker of the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce, spoke to over 50 attendees recently at Laziza Restaurant. This was Babby's fifth time speaking to the local business community. "Truly, and I honestly mean this, speaking to the Kent Chamber is one of my favorite speaking engagements every year. I love coming here, eating delicious shawarma and seeing so many familiar faces." Babby spoke on how providing affordable family fun at Canal Park is his top priority. "Our staff is made up of amazing individuals who have a passion for minor league baseball and making sure each person who attends a game has a great time." Accompanied by his son Josh, Babby told of his love of watching his beloved Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards as a child along with his father. "That's what I want for my son and for parents in our community, to be able to afford to bring their families to our games and have a lifelong memory of enjoying that time together."
