This weekend, enjoy your summer nights in Kent with a movie and a live show downtown.

Sidewalk Cinema

Standing Rock Cultural Arts and Downtown Businesses present sidewalk cinema, a free outdoor screening of "Up" this Friday at the Hometown Bank Plaza on the corner of Main and Water Streets in downtown Kent.

"Up" tells the story of 78-year-old Carl, who sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America by tying thousands of balloons to his home. Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years younger, inadvertently becomes a stowaway.

Bring a blanket and a lawn chair. The movie starts at dusk.
